A girl’s gotta eat, and sometimes that means making do with a failed cooking attempt.

Scrambled and fried eggs are among the few things that I can confidently make. An omelette not so much.

I personally shy away from trying cook new meals. I have yet to be successful, and each time I’m left eating meals that could be used in a new episode of Fear Factor. But after 2 weeks of eating pasta for dinner, I decided it was time to try something new.

Enter my failed omelette attempt. An omelette done right can be great. The eggs provide protein, you can easily add anything to the mix from veggies to meat and voila a nutritious meal. Not to mention it’s supposedly quick and simple to make. Yet somehow I always manage to forget to add butter so my omelettes come out dry, and I can never get the flip right so the omelette comes out looking quite unpleasant (case in point, the picture above).

Lucky for me this time wasn’t all bad and the omelette tasted slightly better than it looks. For my large stomach, I was able to eat it in two servings and then spend the rest of my time trying to forget this happened.
